About this event

Would you like to increase your understanding of trans, gender diversity and gender questioning identities? Have you had clients who are transgender, gender diverse or gender questioning and felt out of your depth? Do you want to be affirmative in your practice? Are you a trans, gender diverse or gender questioning counsellor or mental health professional with lived experience but no training in this area?

If the answer is yes, this course is for you!

This in person workshop is facilitated by advanced accredited gender, sex and relationship diverse therapist; Nathan Osborne who runs a successful online and in person private practice in Peterborough, UK working mainly with GSRD clients. Nathan has trained with world specialist training providers Pink Therapy, as well as initially being trained as an integrative counsellor. Nathan is a registered member with the BACP.

This workshop will be a combination of experiential exercises, reflective discussions and presentations. It will be a safe and confidential space to explore your own identity within the experiential and will provide space to hold open discussions to enrich learning.

This course will cover:

  • Key terminology including pronouns

  • Experiential exercise exploring key differences between gender, sex & sexual orientation

  • How to be trans and gender diverse inclusive in your practice

  • Theoretical themes to support clients

  • Increase awareness of gender dysphoria & transition

  • Resources

  • Have a better understanding of issues faced such as dysphoria & transition
