AN INCLUSIVE, WELCOMING & DIVERSE SPACE FOR ALL

ABOUT NATHAN
Hello, I’m Nathan (he/him). I aim to offer a safe, anti-oppressive, and welcoming space for therapy - whether in person, online, or over the phone. I work with people from a wide range of backgrounds and identities, guided by an intersectional framework that recognises how our overlapping identities shape our experiences and sense of self. Taking this holistic view is essential in therapy; without it, important parts of a person’s story can be missed.
My own lived experience as a mixed-race, neurodivergent queer person, among other aspects of my identy, informs and deepens my understanding of how marginalisation can affect the way we move through the world.
I hold advanced accreditation as a Gender, Sex, and Relationship Diversity (GSRD) therapist through Pink Therapy, following over two years of specialist training. I support clients in areas including:
-
Transgender, non-binary, and gender-diverse identities
-
Intersectionality and identity exploration
-
Minority stress and intimate partner violence
-
Kink and BDSM
-
Sex work
-
Shame and internalised oppression
-
GSRD relationships
-
Autism and GSRD

I offer both short- and long-term therapy, always working at a pace that feels right for you. At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship—built on trust, collaboration, and mutual understanding. I take an integrative approach, drawing from a range of therapeutic models, and I aim to keep sessions accessible and free from unnecessary jargon. Together, we’ll focus on what matters most to you, and I’m always happy to help you shape a way of working that feels manageable and supportive.
Since 2007, I have worked in a variety of supportive roles, including with people experiencing homelessness, substance use, offending behaviour, mental health challenges, and issues related to gender identity and sexuality. I spent nearly a decade in the criminal justice system supporting victims of crime, including working as a hate crime lead and training in restorative justice. I was also involved in the Police National LGBT+ Network, contributing to greater awareness and inclusion both within the organisation and the wider community.
Since 2016, I have worked as a counsellor across a range of settings, including youth charities, City College Peterborough, and Thorpe Hall Hospice, where I worked as an associate therapist.
In my private practice, I offer one-to-one counselling sessions of 50 or 80 minutes, available in person, online, or by phone. I also facilitate group work and deliver training for organisations and mental health professionals on topics such as gender diversity, unconscious bias, intersectionality, and privilege.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and hold advanced accreditation in GSRD therapy through Pink Therapy. I have full professional indemnity insurance, an enhanced DBS check, and I attend regular supervision to support safe, ethical practice and ongoing professional development.
I also know, from personal experience, that reaching out for support can feel difficult. By being here, you’ve already taken an important first step.
If you’d like to learn more about how I work, or arrange a no-pressure, informal chat, you’re very welcome to get in touch.
